Female Japanese Macaque
One of the interesting things about Japanese macaques is that males and females compete with each other for sexual partners. Dr. Vasey is interested in examining how widespread this type of competition is in the animal kingdom.The purpose of this particular survey is to determine whether human males and females compete with each other for potential sexual partners. This is the first study of this subject that has ever been undertaken.

This survey is being conducted by Dr. Paul L. Vasey, a researcher studying animal behaviour in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge.
